Playmobil goes underground with V&A TfL advertising partnership

Published on: 20th March 2019

The TfL advertising campaign forms part of an exhibition sponsorship partnership with the V&A Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green.

Approximately 180 posters advertising the V&A Museum of Childhood’s major exhibition for families, A Pirate’s Life for Me, are displayed across ‘entertainer stations’ such as Leicester Square, Tottenham Court Road, Covent Garden, Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus, in a campaign designed to reach thousands of commuters.

The exhibition, of which Playmobil is a sponsor, has seen the popular brand display its pirate collection. Suitable for children from ages 1.5+, it includes the Pirate’s Treasure Island, Pirate Raiders’ Ship and 1.2.3 Pirate Ship.

The ‘last chance to see’ advert will run for four weeks and was launched on 11th March. The exhibition will close just after the Easter holidays on 22nd April.

Jamie Dickinson, marketing & display manager at Playmobil UK, commented: “We’re delighted to continue supporting this fantastic exhibition, helping little pirates everywhere learn more about life on the high seas. We’re also thrilled at the opportunity to join the V&A in showcasing the Playmobil brand in front of thousands of commuters, tapping into potential new audiences.”
