The experienced category manager is currently looking for a new role in the toy market.

After three years at Groupon, Chris Ashton has resigned from his position as category manager – toys, nursery, sports and pet care. He is now on garden leave, having left the company on Friday.

Chris told Toy World: “My role at Groupon has changed dramatically in the last six months, so I felt that now would be a good time to look for a new challenge. Having spent many years in toy retail buying with Groupon, The Toy Store, Toys R Us, Harrods, Safeway and Woolworths, I would love the opportunity to stay within the toy community and use the experience and contacts I have built up over the past 25 years. Having left Groupon last Friday, I’m now focused on finding a new role – it’s not easy to do that while working full time. I would be happy to stay on the buying side, or equally happy to move over to the supplier side.”
