Toy Trust partners with Over The Wall in 2018

Toy industry charity pledges £90,000 to fund an Over The Wall camp for 65 children.

Over The Wall, the charity that provides free therapeutic residential camps for children with health challenges, has been chosen as one of the Toy Trust’s key charities of the year.

The Toy Trust has pledged to raise £90,000 to fund an Over The Wall camp for 65 children, which will take place in August 2018. The Toy Trust also plans to work alongside Over The Wall by helping to develop research that will demonstrate the positive role that play has on serious illness.

The award will help Over The Wall provide more children with health challenges with the opportunity to experience its camps, assisting the charity in its ambitious growth and its ongoing plans to at least double its service provision by 2021.

Industry fundraisers from the Toy Trust will be invited to experience the magic of an Over The Wall camp, as both volunteers, and as visitors.

Foye Pascoe, The Toy Trust chair, commented: “Giving the gift of play is very important to us all and is at the heart of everything we stand for as an industry. We are thrilled to be partnering with Over the Wall this year, a truly inspiring charity that is making a huge difference to children’s lives through their unique camps. I encourage the industry to now get involved and book their place in this year’s Big Challenge day on Saturday 9th June in Marlow, to help us raise the all-important funds needed to help us fulfil our pledge to Over the Wall.”
