Justin Taylor passes away

Published on: 9th March 2018

Justin, who had previously spent time with Cartamundi as a sales and customer service agent, passed away last week.

Justin started his career with Cartamundi in 2005 and built up good relationships internally across the Cartamundi group as well as with buyers and suppliers across the toy industry. He left Cartamundi in 2013 to take up a new role with Creative Distribution, prior to then leaving to set up his own painting and decorating business near his home town of Horsham.

Sadly, after returning to work following a weekend away, Justin suffered a sudden and fatal heart attack.

Justin was 46 years old, and leaves behind two children – Libby, 16 years old, and Mason, 12 years old – and his beloved wife Karen. Justin doted on his family and children, and was a much loved father who not only enjoyed every minute spent working in the toy industry, but also helped design and develop playing cards and games for many companies in the industry, which led to his nickname – the Toymaker. Some of these cards and games are still in production years later.

Jonathan Rose, director at MI PR, commented: “Justin was known by all customers and a wide amount of people in the industry. I spent a lot of time with Justin, in client, supplier and company meetings, travelling to the fairs, exhibiting at them. Justin was a really funny, bubbly man, the life and soul of the party – I was personally very saddened to hear of Justin’s passing, as will many of those who worked with him and knew him.”

Justin’s funeral is being held on Monday 12th March at 1.40pm at Worthing main Crematorium, just off the A24. All are welcome to attend.
