A new era is set to begin at Asmodee UK as Alex Green becomes the games specialist’s new managing director.

Alex’s promotion is the well-earned result of over 20 years at the company in a variety of high-level roles, including over 10 years served on the board of directors.

The change at the top comes as previous MD Steve Buckmaster embarks on a new challenge within the wider Asmodee Group as the new head of distribution in Europe.

Alex commented: “I am very proud and honoured to become the new managing director of Asmodee UK. It is a great privilege to be taking over from Steve,who is handing over a fantastic team and a great portfolio of products at a very exciting time for the business. I am looking forward to the challenges ahead and to continue the fantastic journey of Asmodee UKas a business and also as part of the wider Asmodee Group.

There is also a change of role for another senior Asmodee UK figure, with Anil Boodhoo taking on the new title of sales & marketing director. Anil, a company veteran of 14 years, steps up from his role as sales director to head the combined team, with the clear goal of closely aligning marketing activities to support sales goals.

All of the changes take place immediately, with both Alex and Anil present throughout London Toy Fair to meet customers.

Asmodee has also announced that the Harry Potter and Star Wars actor Warwick Davis will be at the games specialist’s stand, E109, in the early afternoon on Tuesday 22nd January, the first day of the event. Warwick will be on hand to answer questions about the Tenable board game, the hit quiz show that Warwick hosts on ITV. Asmodee’s new offering adapts the game of completing top-10 lists into a format that the whole family can enjoy around the table at home.

Warwick will also be available to the press for questions and a photo opportunity.
