Paramount Players has acquired Slime, a pitch for a family action-adventure film that will be scripted by writing partners Steve Pink and Jeff Morris, Deadline has reported. Steve Pink will direct the feature film, which is expected to be about a slime experiment gone wrong.

It’s currently unknown whether the movie will be released as a Nickelodeon Movies co-production. However, Paramount Players has a mandate to leverage Viacom-owned properties for the big screen treatment. The studio is also developing a live-action Dora the Explorer movie, inspired by Nickelodeon’s beloved pre-school series of the same name, and a feature adaptation of the beloved ’90s Nick series Are You Afraid of the Dark?.

Paramount Players also acquired the feature film rights to popular toy Creepy Crawlers, so it’s possible that it’ll be a standalone Paramount Players-branded movie.
