Masha and The Bear has acquired a Guinness World Record for Most Watched Cartoon/Animated Movie on YouTube.

First launched in January 2009 on TV, Masha and The Bear is a 3D animated family show that features Masha, a mischievous little girl that loves exploring the world around her, and the Bear, her kind and caring friend.

Masha and The Bear hits its 10th anniversary milestone in 2019 with a worldwide YouTube fan base. Created by Oleg Kuzovkov and distributed by Animaccord, the single Masha and the Bear episode ‘Recipe for Disaster’ is the only animated video included in the list of Top 10 most watched YouTube videos of all time. With 3,424,087,722 views, the episode has set a new Guinness World Record title for the Most Watched Cartoon/Animated Movie on YouTube.

Masha and the Bear is no stranger to international acclaim, with the series having 44b views globally across YouTube. It was also the first pre-school animated series to be aired in the International Space Station in the Summer of 2017, and has been included in a list of ‘TV Shows Destined to be Classics,’ compiled by the animation industry. In the UK, Masha and the Bear is broadcast on TV channels Tiny Pop and Cartoonito, as well as being available on Netflix.

Masha and The Bear’s creative, high quality 3D animation style follows an educational adventure format and portrays fundamental parent-child relationships which are easily translatable and understood across every nation. Short episode lengths made the cartoon perfect for holding a small child’s attention, with original music and songs making it appealing to families across the globe.
