Zuru details new sloth additions to toy portfolio

Published on: 30th January 2020

Zuru is celebrating Chinese New Year with ‘The Year of The Sloth’ following a successful Toy Fair.

Zuru is predicting that 2020 will be the Year of The Sloth. The adorable, slow-moving mammals, which spend most of their lives upside down in trees, are the inspiration behind new sloth toy products previewed at Toy Fair 2020.

Destined to follow in the hoof-prints of Pets Alive Boppi,The Booty Shakin’ Llama, comes Pets Alive Fifi The Flossing Sloth. Named one of Toy Fair’s Hero toys for 2020, Fifi mimics one of the most iconic dances of the decade – The Floss. Fifi starts her moves off slow, as a real sloth would, but speeds up until she’s flossing to three catchy dance tracks. Fifi has cute blinking eyes and an impressive wiggle. Appealing to the whole family, parents and children alike can have endless fun learning how to Floss with Fifi.

The launch of Fifi will be supported with an exciting influencer campaign. Fifi costumes will be given to key influencers for a real, virtual challenge, ‘can you floss like Fifi?’. A strong video strategy will also benefit from PR and marketing with heavy presence on TV, YouTube and VOD from July 2020.

Alongside Fifi, Zuru will also be launching a rare sparkly sloth under the best-selling Zuru Rainbocorns brand.

“Staying on trend is everything in our industry,” said Renee Lee, global marketing director, Zuru. “We believe sloths will rule 2020. Fifi is a charmer and is sure to follow in the footsteps of her predecessor.”
