April 14th 2021 marks the first ever International Gerry Anderson Day, celebrating the life and works of the legendary producer.
A special day for fans of Gerry Anderson, the day is held on the great man’s birthday, and is a celebration of the life and work of the legendary TV and film producer behind such iconic shows as Fireball XL5, Thunderbirds, UFO, Space:1999, Terrahawks, Space Precinct, Captain Scarlet and many more. The day will feature special events, live streams and unique new content from Gerry’s own production company Anderson Entertainment. Bachmann Europe has recently launched its new brand Adventures in Plastic collection (AiP) by unveiling a range of Thunderbirds plastic kits supported by a launch video on YouTube. The impressive collection comprises 11 different kits across a number of scales. Modellers can construct detailed models of the vehicles from the original Thunderbirds TV series, including all five classic Thunderbird craft plus the iconic ‘hypersonic’ airliner Fireflash, the ever-popular Mole rescue vehicle and Lady Penelope’s iconic car – FAB 1. The AiP kits are available now and are ideal for Gerry Anderson fans.
