Moose Toys introduces Scruff-a-Luv Cutie Cuts

Published on: 13th July 2021

The plush pets can be given a full salon make-over, including being shaved and trimmed with a kid-safe accessory that works and feels like real clippers.

Moose Toys has launched Cutie Cuts, a new plush within the Scruff-a-Luvs line of interactive toys, which can be transformed from a matted mass into a pampered pet using a range of salon accessories including ‘clippers’.

The new Scruff-a-Luvs Cutie Cuts is said to be a first-of-its-kind plush and gives kids the fun experience of pretending to be a real dog groomer. With a buzz of the clippers, kids can “shave” their rescue friends to transform them from scruffy to fluffy and discover which breed lies underneath the matted mess. The clippers feel real but do not cut and so are safe to use.

The packaging also turns into a pop-up salon where kids can use the rest of the accessories including hair clips, comb, a collar and nail polish to transform their furry friend.

“We have all seen or experienced little kids getting their hands on scissors and cutting their own bangs or shaving their sibling’s hair, so we know that real-life grooming is really appealing,” said Alex Ries, senior vice president and head of US marketing, Moose Toys. “With Cutie Cuts, we are putting kids in charge of the styling experience with a realistic feeling, kid-safe electric ‘clippers,’ while staying true to the Scruff-a-Luvs experience of rescuing and nurturing we know kids and parents love.”

Cutie Cuts will be available at retail from August. To learn more about Cutie Cuts, visit moosetoys.com.
