MGA Entertainment and Zapf Creation have donated 5,000 toys to support families in need at Christmas.

MGA Entertainment (MGAE) and Zapf Creation have been spreading the Christmas cheer this festive period, donating 5,000 new and unused toys to support families in need via local and national charities, hospitals and hospices.

The deliveries, which arrived ahead of the all-important Christmas period, included toys from the MGAE and Zapf Creation portfolios, including L.O.L. Surprise!, Little Tikes, Na! Na! Na! Surprise, Rainbow High, Baby Annabell and Baby born.

Donations were delivered to the below charities, hospitals and hospices:

  • Milton Keynes Hospital
  • Towcester Toy Bank Appeal Charity
  • Shooting Star Chase
  • Willen Hospice
  • Leeds Hospitals Charity
  • The Henry Allen Trust
  • The Royal British Legion
  • The Air Ambulance Service
  • The Children’s Air Ambulance Service
  • Birmingham Children’s Hospital
  • Kids in Care
  • Keech Hospice
  • Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity
  • Great Ormond Street Hospital
  • VICTA
  • MK-Act
  • Alder Hey Children’s Hospital
  • Stoke Mandeville Hospital
  • RSPCA Milton Keynes

MGA and Zapf also donated 27 pallets of toys to The Fence Club, a toy industry charity providing donated toys for children in the UK who are sick, disabled, terminally ill or from socially deprived environments.

Neil Bandtock, MD of MGA Entertainment UK, said: “These are challenging times for everyone, so we’re honoured to be able to help these vital charities support those in need this Christmas. We know how much joy a new toy can bring to children on Christmas morning, and the work these charities do to ensure that happens is incredible. We hope our donation brings some Christmas cheer as we come to the end of what’s been a difficult year for many.”

Angie Tillett, senior community fundraising manager at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We want to say thank you so much to MGA and Zapf for their donations to the Children’s Department at Ipswich Hospital. The team were completely delighted with them and can’t wait to put them to use for their young patients to enjoy.”

The Christmas charity donations follow a number of recent charity initiatives by MGAE, including MGA Cares, started by CEO, Isaac Larian, in April 2020, to provide essential support and personal, protective equipment (PPE) to healthcare workers and healthcare facilities on the frontline of the fight against Covid-19.
