Character invites visitors to wobble with the Weebles at Toy Fair

Published on: 25th January 2022

The iconic, egg-shaped characters first launched in the 70s with the infamous slogan: “Weebles wobble but they don’t fall down!”

Character Options has confirmed that Weebles are to return to Toy Fair. The fantastically wobbly collection will include the best of pre-school licences, with Peppa Pig, licensed by Hasbro, launching in late January. Aimed at children aged 18-months and over, the range will see Peppa and friends reimagined as Weebles figures. With beautifully designed Peppa iconography, they will be instantly recognisable to young fans.

There are eight cute and wobbly characters to collect, as well as multi-figure packs and the Wind and Wobbly House Playset. There are also fun vehicle sets including the Push-along Wobbly Car and the Pull-Along Wobbly Train.

Character Options has also entered into negotiations to bring Bluey, CoComelon and My Little Pony themed Weebles to retailers in autumn, setting up the portfolio to grow and capture the imagination of a new generation of pre-schoolers.

Mark Hunt, Character Options’ marketing director, said: “We are delighted to be relaunching the heritage brand Weebles. Its iconic branding is highly recognisable amongst parents, and we believe introducing top pre-school licences, such as Peppa Pig, Bluey and CoComelon to the figures that wobble but don’t fall down, is a play pattern that perfectly aligns with the target age group. We have extensive marketing support in place for the brand, with TV, YouTube pre-roll and PR campaigns ready to go. We can’t wait to showcase the collection in London in person to retail buyers.”
