DreamToys 2022 to be unveiled on 9th November

Published on: 13th September 2022

The DreamToys committee has decided to continue the format of the last two years, with a press day held the day before the official announcement.

The Toy Retailers Association has announced the annual DreamToys list will be unveiled on Wednesday 9th November at 00:01.

The list showcases the most exciting toys and games available this festive season, as chosen by a panel of retailers and industry experts independent of toy manufacturers and makers.

Prior to the announcement, a preview day will be held on Tuesday 8th November at Fora Space, Spitalfields, where top tier and selected press will gain exclusive access to the list, spokespeople, and suppliers under embargo.

“Following the success and positive feedback from media and suppliers, the DreamToys committee has committed to continue the format of the last two years,” commented Paul Reader, new chairman of the DreamToys selection committee. “The media landscape has changed drastically in recent years. This format allows us to stay nimble and react to the needs of the news agenda and by providing information both physically and digitally to ensure the best possible coverage that will benefit the entire industry”.

The Toy Retailers Association informs and advises members on current and future legislation, as well as ethical practices. It acts as both a watchdog and persuader to ensure fair play for toy retailers and represents the toy retail sector to government panels and the media.

The TRA traditionally unveils a Top 12 list of toys predicted to be best sellers for the festive season, accompanied by a wider list of products, split into categories and demonstrating the depth and quality of choice available to consumers in 2022.
