Nicky Clarke and Vanessa Feltz were among the celebrities and influencers who joined Epoch for the launch of the new Pony’s Stylish Hair Salon play set.
Epoch Making Toys celebrated the launch of its Sylvanian Families Pony’s Stylish Hair Salon with a celebrity event hosted at London’s Linnaean Spa and Restaurant on Sunday.
Stars in attendance with their families included hairdresser Nicky Clarke, radio presenter Vanessa Feltz; ITV meteorologist Laura Tobin, actress Judi Shekoni, and author Gemma Bird, as well as a number of social media influencers.
In keeping with the new salon set, the guests and their children enjoyed a mixture of pamper treatments including hair styling and manicures. In addition, they were given the opportunity to play with Pony’s Stylish Hair Salon and meet the new Sylvanian Families character, Sally the Pony, who proved a huge hit.
Vanessa Feltz told her 214,000 Instagram followers: “We’re at the most magnificent extravaganza, it’s Sylvanians meets magnificent hair-doing… this is Nerrilea and this is me playing with Sylvanians. Perfect morning!”
Part of new Sylvanian Families ‘Style & Play’ theme, which initially launched in January with the release of the Pony’s Hair Stylist Set, the Pony’s Stylish Hair Salon further extends the brand’s traditional play pattern, allowing young stylists to unleash their creativity on Sally the Pony’s long, silky mane.
The highly detailed two-storey Pony’s Stylish Hair Salon features a shampoo station with shower head on the side of the sink, a hair and make-up station and a reception desk. It also comes with over 30 cute accessories for imaginative hair and makeup role-play including a hairbrush, hair dryer, curling irons, face mask, make up palettes, hair bands and clips. The accessories can be arranged on the dresser and the extensions hung up on the salon walls.
Matt Shaw, marketing manager at Epoch, commented: “The new ‘Style &Play’ range represents an exciting new play pattern for Sylvanian Families and we wanted to celebrate the launch in style. It was fantastic to welcome such stars as Vanessa Feltz, who is a big Sylvanian Families fan, and even better to watch the children immerse themselves in playing with the sets, as well as, of course, meeting Sally the Pony. The event was a huge success, resulting in exposure across social media and national press, providing a great way to kick off the Christmas sales period.”
