Last week, Bluey joined Gethin Jones for his Red Nose Day Keep Dancing challenge, which raised over £1m for the charity.

BBC One’s Morning Live host Gethin Jones put his best foot forward on Friday for Comic Relief as he undertook a 24-hour Keep Dancing challenge. Gethin was joined by the BBC’s Bluey costume character during the dance marathon.

Inspired by Strictly Come Dancing’s hugely popular Strictly Fitness segment, Gethin spent his entire day, continuing through until Friday morning, showing off his moves to raise money for worthy causes this Red Nose Day.

Over the course of the challenge, Gethin was joined on the dancefloor by friends from the Strictly Come Dancing family, and at 4pm Bluey joined in enthusiastically with fellow Aussie and Strictly pro Dianne Buswell, strutting their stuff to 90s tunes.

Bluey is the Early Years partner for Comic Relief this year with branded fundraising packs and a Keepy Uppy Challenge, designed to encourage youngsters to take part in the popular fundraising event.

Gethin was delighted to find out he had raised over £1m for Comic Relief following the 24-hour danceathon.

“I can’t quite believe what we’ve raised for Comic Relief,” he said.  “It’s going to change lives. It’s going to save lives. I feel privileged to have led it but it’s a team effort.”
