Set Up is a tile based family tactic game and Timeline Twist is a reimagination of the classic Timeline game.

Asmodee UK has announced the launch of Set Up, a tile-based spin on the popular rummy genre, suitable for players of all ages. Set Up reboots the classic game with players building sets of suits or numbers in all directions. This accessible yet strategic title challenges players to master tile placement to accumulate points, while trying to avoid giving points to an opponent. Set Up is launching on April 1st.

Set Up is simple to master and placement is key, as players can create combinations in any direction or even stack tiles to throw off an opponent. Playable with 2-4 players in a free-for-all battle, or in a 2v2 team mode, Set Up offers an exciting set-building showdown for the whole family.

We know rummy fans will love the new twists and mechanics, like introducing tiles with an extra suit and a clear board-based scoring system. These changes make Set Up just as fun and easy to get started for new players as it is for established card game fans.”

Asmodee UK has also announced the launch of  Timeline Twist, a reimagination of the popular Timeline series. With a focus on cooperative strategic gameplay, the new game challenges players to work together and place historical event cards in chronological order. Timeline Twist is planned for a summer 2023 release.

Timeline Twist features 100 unique cards, each with a different historical event, and players work collaboratively to place them on a timeline and earn points. Each team’s goal is to correctly place as many of their cards on the timeline before their opponents. Players need more than just historical knowledge to succeed in Timeline Twist, with rules designed to reward strategic thinking and teamwork.

“Timeline Twist is an accessible experience designed to bring families to the table while also offering a challenge to seasoned card game experts,” said Frédéric Henry, lead designer for Timeline Twist alongside Corey Konieczka. “Our re-imagined Timeline ruleset rewards teamwork, creating an approachable environment where everyone feels welcome. Timeline Twist is perfect for players looking to introduce a new title to family board game night.”

First released in 2012, Timeline has received multiple expansions, including Timeline Music & Cinema and Timeline Inventions. Following in the footsteps of previous versions of the game, the new Timeline Twist will also have a range of themed versions. The first is all about pop culture and is set to release at the same time as the base game.
