Crayola continues to partner with the Spread a Smile charity to help fund in person arts and crafts lessons which will be held in multiple hospitals.

Spread a Smile brings smiles and laughter to seriously ill children and their families during their darkest days. Spread a Smile’s magicians, artists, singers and therapy dogs bring moments of joy to hospital bedsides, offering a much-needed distraction to young patients and their families, helping them cope with illness and treatment. They also offer art initiatives, family outings and seasonal celebration events. Crayola continue to help fund in person arts and crafts lessons which will be held in multiple hospitals.

Last week a team from Vivid Goliath and Crayola visited Spread a Smile HQ to help hand pick and package up hundreds of amazing gifts being delivered to children, either in hospitals or at home undergoing treatment.

“Spead a Smile has pledged to send out 1,250 Smile Hampers, packed full of gifts handpicked with each child in mind and has a waiting list that they hope to fulfil,” explained Eda Atasoy, assistant brand manager, Crayola. “With a further 4,000 gifts being donated to seriously ill children in NHS hospitals, and hospices across the UK, it is the most impressive logistical undertaking and we were blown away by how each and every gift is picked, boxed up and made personal to each child and their siblings. It was a humbling experience and we were delighted to spend the morning helping the charity”.

An additional 500 will also be gifted at Spread a Smile’s Winter Party in Central London in January, where 500 children and their family members will enjoy a fun-filled day to remember.
