Crayola to add colour to Gloworm Festival

Published on: 16th June 2022

Arts and crafts brand Crayola will be encouraging kids to get creative as a sponsor of the family friendly Gloworm Festival.

Families at this year’s Gloworm Festival in Nottinghamshire will be able to get creative in the Crayola creativity tent, as the arts and crafts brand is a main sponsor for this summer’s event.

The tent at this year’s festival, which runs from 12th to 15th August, will be packed full of exciting and interactive arts and crafts for festival goers of all ages. Crayola will be actively promoting the Colours of the World range, encouraging children to represent themselves in their drawings through a portrait drawing competition.

Festival director Richard Walpole said: “We’re really looking forward to partnering with Crayola at Gloworm this year. The Crayola creativity tent will give families a space to explore their imagination. The Festival can sometimes be a little overwhelming for little ones so we are incredibly happy to be able to offer another area on site that families can use to express themselves.”

“We are really excited to be a part of Gloworm this year, bringing colour, creativity and expression to the hands of little ones,” said senior brand manager Jade Childs. “We aim to spark the imaginations of children, and providing a space for children to explore their creative side at Glowworm is fantastic. We are also ensuring that we are spreading our message about diversity and inclusion with our Colours of the World range, with specially formulated colours that represent all of the skin tones around the world, with a portrait drawing competition.”

Gloworm is a family only festival based in Thoresby park, Nottinghamshire, aimed at families with children aged 0-14, with plenty to keep older teenagers entertained too.

This year’s festival is already on its way to selling out with around 20,000 people expected to attend over the weekend. The theme for this year’s festival is Outer Space and the star-studded line-up already includes Justin Fletcher, Andy and the Odd Socks, Maddie Moate, Cosmic Kids, Paw Patrol, Absolute Bowie, Phats & Small & Boogie Storm, with much more to be announced.
