Steve is looking to return to the toy market, having taken a brief detour out of the industry last year.
Toy sales stalwart Steve Cox is looking for a new role in the toy market. Having worked with a variety of plush companies since 1997, Steve has built up a strong network of contacts, as well as considerable industry knowledge and experience.
Steve told Toy World: “Having left the toy trade in 2021, I have realised how much I enjoyed working with the great people and companies in this market. I am now looking to return to the toy industry and would be interested in a variety of roles, from country manager or sales director through to area manager.
Not only can I offer companies considerable sales and industry knowledge, but also the creativity for product selection, ranging and development. I am especially interested in the development of products with sustainability at their core.
My reason for wanting to move back into the toy industry is too often lost in the balance sheet. For me, the real purpose of the industry is to make children happy, to educate and to protect their wellbeing.
During my time in the toy industry, I have had the privilege of either developing or bringing to market some great soft toys including Milly (the pinkest cat), Yoohoo and most recently Keeleco. My hope is that there is a toy company which feels that my talents in sales and products can add value to their business and continue my purpose to help children be happy.”
