Hamleys and The Ritz London to open Christmas grotto

Published on: 11th November 2022

The Ritz London and Hamleys announce a magical Christmas partnership in their mission to spread joy and magic this festive season.

In celebration of Christmas 2022, two of the world’s most iconic family brands,  The Ritz London and Hamleys are partnering for a special festive treat.

The Hamleys elves are heading to Piccadilly for The Hamleys x Ritz London Christmas Grotto which will take place from 8am to 8pm in The Royal Suite at The Ritz London on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th December.

The enchanting experience will begin on arrival at The Ritz where guests will be greeted by one of Hamleys’ Elves, before being escorted by a Ritz Page Boy to the hotel’s Royal Suite, which “is being sprinkled with sparkle” and transformed into the spectacular Christmas Grotto. The journey continues with Santa’s hot chocolate and children will have the chance to talk all things Christmas with their House Elf, as well as check for their name on the ‘Nice List’ and take part in fun and games, ahead of a meeting with the man himself, Santa Claus. Every child will depart with a personalised gift, to ensure the magic continues at home.

The spectacular Christmas Grotto will also open on 2nd December in proud collaboration with Great Ormond Street Hospital, offering exclusive Santa sessions for children who have been under the care of GOSH.

The Hamleys x Ritz London Christmas Grotto is strictly by appointment only, priced at £250 for a maximum of six people, inclusive of at least one adult per 30 minute experience. Reservations open at 10am on Tuesday 15th November and are available online at hamleys.com/the-ritz-grotto.
