Moonbug and Smyths partner on new CoComelon advert

Published on: 7th December 2022

The new advert created by Moonbug and Smyths Toys Superstores features toys from CoComelon’s master toy partner, Jazwares, as Christmas shopping ramps up.

Moonbug Entertainment, the award-winning global entertainment company behind some of the most popular kids’ titles in the world, has created a new advert to showcase the range of CoComelon toys available at Smyths Toys Superstores this Christmas season.

The items featured in the advert and on-shelf are a selection of CoComelon products from master toy partner Jazwares, including the CoComelon Boo Boo JJ Doll, Yellow School Bus, My Friend Cody Doll and more.

The advert will air on both Smyths Toys Superstores’ and Moonbug Entertainment’s YouTube channels as well as across their social channels.

“We are extremely excited to have created a toy animation with Smyths Toys Superstores showcasing our key products from the CoComelon range,” commented Duncan Tate, global head of Hardlines, Consumer Products at Moonbug. “We hope the advert and toys will bring lots of joy to pre-schoolers and families this Christmas.”

CoComelon is a fun, hit show about childhood that celebrates the big moments for little kids. The show follows JJ and his friends and family as they share their fun everyday adventures, exploring and learning through relatable situations and toe-tapping songs. CoComelon is the No.1 most-watched kids brand on YouTube globally, with more than 4.3b monthly views and more than 163m subscribers.

In November, Smyths revealed that it had partnered with Hasbro on an integrated 360 marketing campaign based on Peppa Pig in the lead up to the biggest gift-giving season of the year. In the advert, Peppa and Lily jump in muddy puddles and drive around in the campervan. The campaign marked the first time ever that Peppa has stepped out of her own world and been brought to life in 3D form. Supported by a BVOD media push, the ad spot is airing across the UK, Germany and France (another first for Peppa). The programme also marks the first time Hasbro has worked with PicWicToys in France following its acquisition from Smyths.
