Philly & Friends launches new inclusive collections

Published on: 22nd November 2022

Inclusive lifestyle & toy brand Philly & Friends introduces two empowering new collections shattering gender stereotypes.

Philly & Friends is unveiling The Arie (Boy) Collection featuring Arie Boy Doll and The Dream Collection featuring career wooden jigsaw puzzles.

The brand-new boy doll, Arie, is Philly’s little brother. He is soft, cuddly and squeezable, with soft curly hair. His outfit is removable to encourage imaginative and educational play, and at 38cm, is easy to grip and multi-textured with a mix of cotton and cotton linen. The company says the figure offers endless play options.

Boys are often overlooked in the doll industry. However, the company believes there are many benefits to boys playing with dolls, from encouraging fine motor skills to developing the capacity to nurture. Philly & Friends is launching a #Boysneeddollstoo campaign to ask people to give the gift of empathy to boys through dolls.

Career wooden jigsaw puzzles are launching in three designs: The Doctor, The Astronaut and The Artist. These wooden jigsaw puzzles enable children to dream and explore various careers and encourage pretend play, problem-solving skills and enhance memory and attention span. The 404 x 304 mm puzzles are handmade in the UK with 4mm FSC wood. Each puzzle comes in a reusable tin box for easy storage and transportation, and to protect the puzzle pieces.

Philly & Friends created The Dream Collection to show children they can be anything they want, with puzzles that allow them to see, picture, and believe. In the collection, Philly represents a variety of professions that children can pick from or collect, all inspiring children to dream big and to understand that no career is off limits. The campaign is promoted under the hashtag #NoLimitsKids.

Commenting on the launch of the collection, founder Vese Aghoghovbia said: “Our latest doll and puzzles are a great addition to our range, especially ahead of Christmas. I love the vibrant colours and the quality of the products. They both encourage learning through play, support development, and are open-ended, so offer many play options and make excellent gift ideas.”

Philly & Friends is more than just a children’s brand; it’s purpose-led. Each product sold sponsors a book into the hands of an underprivileged child.
