Plenty to celebrate for Rainbow Designs

Published on: 23rd January 2024

Rainbow Designs has lots to celebrate, with new brands joining the Rainbow Family, plus major milestone anniversaries for much loved classic characters.

Renowned for creating joyful, forever, high quality soft and wooden toys for the nursery, toy and gift sectors, Rainbow Designs heads into the new year with an extensive portfolio featuring some of the most popular characters of all time, including Paddington, Peter Rabbit and Disney’s Winnie the Pooh, as well as welcoming Disney’s The Lion King and The Wizarding World licensed collections. These will all be on display at London Toy Fair this week.

Zara Grindrod, Sales and Marketing director for Rainbow Designs, said she is thrilled that these iconic, modern day classics are joining the Rainbow family. “We are very excited to be bringing characters such as Harry Potter, Hedwig and Dobby to the baby and nursery market,” she commented. “Many of our young parents and grandparents have grown up with these iconic characters and stories and will be excited to share them with their new arrivals.

She added: “These new brand additions provide our retailers even further opportunities to offer our strong heritage brands, alongside on trend, modern day classics for the youngest demographic.”

In February, Rainbow Designs will welcome its new Disney Baby Lion King range, in celebration of the 30th Anniversary of The Lion King. The range includes the My First Simba Soft Toy, Comforter and Ring Rattle, as well as the adorable and stimulating Simba Sensory Play Mat.

Rainbow will also be celebrating the 35th Anniversary of Elmer at Toy Fair. The colourful patchwork elephant, a key sponsor of the event, will make an appearance alongside the award-winning storyteller Mama G, at 4pm on Tuesday 23rd January on the Rainbow Designs stand B21-B25.

Celebrations, new product launches and marketing activities will continue throughout the year to commemorate the 90th Anniversary of Donald Duck, the 55th Birthday of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and the 30th Anniversary of Guess How Much I Love You.
