Schleich joins Icecat to syndicate its product content

Published on: 10th March 2023

Schleich is inviting its eCommerce partners to download structured product content via Icecat’s digital catalogue.

Schleich has joined Icecat as an open Icecat sponsor to syndicate its product content to the channel. Currently, Schleich has six major brands: Wildlife, Farm World, Horse Club, Dinosaurs, Bayala and Eldrador Creatures. All the product content of these brands is now available in the Icecat catalogue for syndication to Schleich channel partners in the Benelux for free.

Icecat, founded in 1999, is an independent global syndicator of eCommerce product information providing a digital catalogue on which brands can share content. This can include specifications, marketing text, images and videos related to their products. Retailers can easily connect to the Icecat catalogue and automatically download the available brand product content to their web shops.

Icecat states that better product content improves the online shopping experience, increasing conversion and sales – and using the Icecat platform gives Schleich channel partners in the Benelux many benefits.

Content is delivered on time, complete and complemented by localised digital assets. Schleich’s content is available immediately after registration in the Icecat catalogue (for free) in both Dutch and French. Retailers can download and implement the content in various formats: CSV, XML, JSON, or Icecat LIVE. Furthermore, to provide legal comfort, Schleich has licensed Icecat to syndicate its copyrighted materials to its channel partners.

Schleich resellers can use their Icecat account to download the free product content. Those who don’t have an account can register online, contact their local Account Manager, or contact Icecat online.
