Music Corner in Gibraltar says it is delighted to have joined Toymaster and is looking forward to leveraging the many benefits of membership.

Music Corner first opened in 1998. Its 200 square metre store is located on Main Street in Gibraltar, with between 50 and 70% of the layout dedicated to the toy department – the rest is a gadget and computer division.

Owner Naresh Basantani told Toy World that the store’s main suppliers include A.B.Gee and Click Distribution, and its best-selling products are Playmobil, Lego, Hasbro board games, MGA Entertainment’s L.O.L Surprise! and Star Wars products as well as collectible cards such as Panini, Topps and Pokémon.

When asked what prompted Music Corner to become a member, Naresh explained that he came across some information about Toymaster and got in touch with Brian McLaughlin, Toymaster development manager, and the team to find out more. He was then invited to the Toymaster May show in the UK last year, where he met the directors and the team and came to understand more about how becoming a member could benefit his business.

Naresh said: “The experience was quite different to the toy shows I would normally visit during the course of the year. The whole concept felt like joining a family: everyone felt very close and attached and I liked how well the members are taken care of. I am very happy to have become a member.”

Toymaster visited Naresh in Gibraltar to look at how Music Corner is trading and its customer approach. Naresh explained the importance of stocking the right product mix and the importance of presentation for customer satisfaction.

He added: “Being a Toymaster member is going to provide me with access to brands that I always wanted to add to my store, but found too difficult to access, as suppliers considered Gibraltar to be too small a place. I am now going to be able to source different lines to add to our existing range. This will offer my customers a much wider choice than they had before.”
