The interactive Nestlings allow kids to nurture and play with their new friend, before it gives births to two cute babies.
Vivid is preparing for the ‘birthday’ of Nestlings next month, and has been working on plans for the big day.
“It’s been a long gestation period, but we are excited to announce all the details,” said head of marketing Darrell Jones. “Consumers will get a first glimpse at our furry friends on the 14th of September when we release content developed with hit YouTube Creators Ruby and Bonnie.”
Vivid is planning a meet and greet with Ruby and Bonnie at a Smyths store along with a VIP list of bloggers. The content will be supported by Blipverts on TV to tease the Nestlings arrival ahead of a full TV launch later that month.
Darrell added: “We are also delighted to be working with The Entertainer Squad to endorse the brand launch. This, along with a strong PR programme, will help put Nestlings on the top of the Christmas lists.”
Nestlings are cute friends that kids can care for, play games and interact with. Depending on how the Nestling is feeling, her eyes glow in different colours to show her mood. After several minutes of interaction her heart will glow, telling kids it’s time to return her to the nest. An egg will appear, which kids can open to reveal their first baby. Further interaction will result in arrival of a second baby. Once they’ve played with their Nestling, it can be reset so kids can play with it again and again.
Nestlings are shipping in September. Available in two colours, they have an SRP of £49.99.
