Wow! Stuff’s Footy Flyer off to a strong start

Published on: 14th June 2018

The new Heliball Footy Flyer has been tipped as one of the top toys for summer as World Cup fever takes hold.

The Footy Flyer, a miniature droid from the award-winning British inventors at Wow! Stuff which adds a modern twist to the game of keepy uppys, has enjoyed significant success at retail since its launch in March. The lowest price point flying remote control toy available in the world, the toy is aimed at footy fans of all ages.

Richard North, CEO of Wow! Stuff, commented: “We are thrilled with the fantastic reception the Footy Flyer has received from football fans across the country. Since the product launched just three months ago it has literally been flying off the shelves, with some retailers struggling to keep up with demand. It is set to be a summer of football, with excitement for the World Cup reaching fever pitch, and the feedback we have received so far confirms that Footy Flyer is set to be the must-have football toy this season.”

Based on the popular LED Heliball, which has already sold over a million units worldwide, the Footy Flyer is the ultimate keepy-uppy game and challenges players to keep the ball in the air without actually touching it. Using patented proximity sensors, the toy will soar upwards when players place a foot or knee beneath it and auto-descend after each virtual kick. Football fans can switch on Auto Hover mode to challenge their friends and family to a keepy-uppy competition, or practice by themselves as the built-in LCD screen keeps count.

Footy fans can also customise their Footy Flyer with their favourite international team using the sticker sheet included. The miniature droid is best used indoors so provides the perfect solution for practising football skills, whatever the weather.

The Heliball Footy Flyer has an RRP of £19.99 and is available from Argos, Smyths Toys and Hawkin’s Bazaar.
