Wise Owl Toys owners celebrate 25 years of Left’n’Write

Published on: 14th August 2019

Owners Mark and Heather Stewart chose Lefthander’s Day this week to mark the occasion.

Taking place worldwide on August 13th, Lefthander’s Day is celebrated in the UK with regional events. These events aim to contribute to the awareness of the difficulties and frustrations left-handers experience in everyday life and have successfully led to improved product design and greater consideration of left-handed needs by the right-handed majority.

Wise Owl Toys is a traditional toy shop with a loyal customer base and also consists of ‘Left’n’Write’, a shop within a shop for everything left-handed.

Recognised experts on anything left-handed, the owners regularly hold workshops and sessions for left-handed children (and adults), especially in handwriting skills. The couple are devoted campaigners for equal opportunities for left-handed children in the education system. Their initial inspiration for setting up the shop was their left-handed son, Rob (also pictured).

Mark and Heather decided to invite customers to join them at the shop in Worcester to celebrate the anniversary, take part in various activities to test their “handedness” and, of course, enjoy a slice of cake.

Wise Owl Toys has also been in business for an impressive 20 years. One customer enthused: “It is so refreshing to receive great customer service by a team passionate about developing children. I’d highly recommend this shop to any parent – particularly if your child is left-handed. Great toys, great service and a genuinely lovely team of people.”
Mark told Toy World: “It has been an amazing journey and we are very grateful to all our wonderful customers who have kept us going.”

Toy World would like to congratulate Mark and Heather.
