Mattel announces broadcasters for Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures

Published on: 5th October 2018

The company has also announced today the green-light of a second season of the show (26 x 22’).

New broadcaster partners for season 1 of the 26 x 22 series Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures include Gulli (France), Sony Pop (UK), Super RTL (Germany), Boing Turner (Italy), Panda (Portugal), AMC Minimax (Eastern Europe), Channel One (Russia), Nine Network (Australia), SBT (Brazil), Televisa (Mexico), Cartoon Network (Latin-America) and Cartoon Network (Asia).

The first season, which debuted earlier this year on Netflix in the US, will start to roll out internationally from fall 2018.

Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures is an animated series that allows fans to peek into the everyday life of Barbie. Viewers join her as she embarks on adventures with her family and friends—including Ken. The second series has been green-lit following a positive reception to the first series of the show.

Frederic Soulie, senior vice president, content distribution & business development at Mattel, commented: “As she approaches her 60th anniversary in 2019, the popularity of Barbie is ever-growing and continues to expand into new formats. Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures is a special series as it allows viewers to get up close to Barbie and immerse themselves in her world, family and friends. The show has already been a hit in the US and we are delighted with the reception from our best-in-class broadcast partners globally, which makes the greenlight of the second series very exciting’.

Series one of Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures recently won the 2018 Cynopsis Imagination Award for K6-11 Show Exclusively for a Streaming Platform.
