Sounds, motors and articulated robots introduced to SuperZings Series 3

Published on: 9th October 2018

Magic Box Toys has announced its plans for a third series of SuperZings, hitting shelves on 8th February 2019.

After a successful Series 2, which saw Magic Box grow the range with more premium toy play sets, the brand continues to evolve for Series 3 with innovative new additions to the line-up.

Series 3 maintains the popular hero vs villain format of the previous two series using everyday objects and food as collectible characters. Clad in iconic superhero capes and eye masks, there are all new multi-coloured characters to collect, each with a matching rival, as well as rare and ultra-rare characters to boost the collectability hype.

Hideouts have been given a premium overhaul for Series 3 in the form of Kaboom Blasters which make SuperHero or Villainous sound effects. Inside the Kaboom Blasters kids can find an exclusive SuperZing character.

SuperZings Super Slider vehicles also get an upgrade for Series 3, and for the first time will include a pull-back motor for added play value. Also new for this series are eight futuristic, articulated robot characters.

Starter Packs and Blister Packs will continue and the mix of different deco and colours across the range will be the collectible hook kids love.

The SuperZings range has exceeded expectations since launch with sales to date of over 4.5m units. Series 2 got off to an impressive start in August with sales up 125% on Series 1 launch, driven by fans trying to find the new and elusive Professor K.

Following successful and award-winning marketing campaigns for the previous two series’, SuperZings Series 3 will also be supported by a significant launch marketing campaign including TV, digital, social, unboxings, PR and webisodes to introduce the characters and their rivals as well as the full product range.

Julia Cake of Magic Box Toys commented: “We’re really excited about the third series of SuperZings. The response we have had to the brand so far has exceeded our expectations and we know we have created a really likeable concept with a hugely popular theme. With each new series, we bring something different to the range in order to sustain the excitement with children so they can continue to create their own SuperZings world.”
