Bandai launches Rescue Runts in the UK

Published on: 31st October 2018

Nurturing and fun in equal measure, Rescue Runts hits the shelves in early November.

Rescue Runts come in an assortment of five different 20cm plush creatures to rescue, love and care for. Children can nurture them back into beautiful pets using the included accessories. The box includes a brush, tweezers, cloth, collar, bandage, peel-off tears and six colourful fleas.

There are four breeds to choose from – Shepherd, Husky, Spaniel, Spotty – while a special addition, a Unicorn, completes the family. Designed to nurture a child’s love of animals and show them how caring for a pet can result in great things, each Rescue Runt needs love and care before it transforms into a perfect pet. Kids can use the included grooming kit to clean up their new pet and make them feel happy – getting rid of fleas, wiping away the tears, giving their messy fur a make-over, and naming them something special. Over time, the Rescue Runt’s fur will become messy again and the dirt will reappear on their paws, so children can clean them up again and again to keep them at their best.

Emma King, product manager, Bandai UK, commented: “We are very excited to add Rescue Runts to our portfolio. The characters are very cute and the ability to repeat the process of turning them from lonely strays to happy, loved animals offers something different to the consumer. The retailer response to Rescue Runts has been great and we can’t wait to see the pets being adopted by children from November.”

Available to order now, Rescue Runts plush pets have an RRP of £17.99. For all Bandai UK sales enquiries, please contact sales@bandai.co.uk
