Published on: 21st January 2019

Re:creation and Wham-O have struck a new partnership that will see the company become exclusive UK distributor later this year.

Re:creation will showcase a selected range at Toy Fair, with exclusive distribution of all Wham-O brands in the UK and Ireland beginning in April. Full roll-out of the complete range is planned to meet spring/summer 2020 availability.

An iconic name in the world of outdoor play, Wham-O celebrated seventy years in the industry last year. The company is responsible for many of the best-loved names in the category including Hula Hoop, Frisbee, Slip ‘N Slide and Hacky Sack. Today, Wham-O offers a portfolio of hundreds of products and continues its mission to bring high-quality products to the market that bring family and friends together during every season, indoors and out.

Adrian Mayes, Re:creation’s general manager, commented: “We feel extremely privileged to be chosen to help unlock the full potential of this brand so synonymous with outdoor play. The Wham-O team’s passion for fun and innovation has delivered hit after hit and there is so much more to come. Our plans to re-launch the brand’s presence here include heavyweight marketing with TV and digital, positioning Wham-O products at the heart of family fun.”

TKC, current distributor of a number of Wham-O products, will continue to sell through any remaining inventory of those lines followed by a seamless transition to Re:creation.
