The Point.1888 to construct UK licensing programme for Tinpo

Published on: 29th January 2019

The CGI-animated series Tinpo launched on CBeebies last month.

Following the successful launch, Cloudco Entertainment is proud to announce the selection of The Point.1888 as the brand’s exclusive licensing agent and brand extension partner in the UK.

Launched in December via a prime slot on CBeebies, Tinpo is already proving extremely popular with its pre-school audience in the UK. Combining themes of construction and unconventional problem-solving, the main character Tinpo and his team solve problems in their unique world in ways that are never practical but always fun, innovative and unexpected.

The Point.1888 will be working with Tinpo owner Cloudco Entertainment to secure a number of long-term sustainable licensee partnerships across a spectrum of licensees and retailers. As part of the agreement with The Point.1888, the brand will be looking at publishing, toys, home, arts & crafts, puzzles and games, with the first products expected to be released from autumn/winter 2019.

It is hoped the programme will drive greater awareness for the brand as it enters its first full year on the CBeebies channel.

Bethan Garton, retail & brand director, The Point.1888, commented: “As a mum, I’m only too familiar with the brilliantly fun and educational content on CBeebies. To be able to work with Tinpo which has already made such a big impression on the channels’ viewers is incredibly exciting and we can’t wait to show the impact a brand licensing programme will have.”

Roubina Tchoboian, director of international licensing, Cloudco Entertainment, added: “Cloudco Entertainment is no stranger to brand licensing but with The Point.1888 we saw something different on offer. Their honesty, dedication and relationships with retail buyers really made them stand out to us and with Tinpo still growing in popularity in the UK, the match felt right. We’re delighted with our decision and excited to be developing some new products for Tinpo’s fans.”
