Hape launches solar-powered rail set

Published on: 11th February 2019

The set, which is crafted to a high standard, is made from bamboo which grows at 1.2m per day.

With Hape planting one tree for every one it uses, The Hape Solar Power Circuit is touted as a truly sustainable toy.

The engine has its own solar panel that generates enough electricity to power its lights. Children can push it through the spirals to the station where the Ticketmaster is ready to collect fares. Teaching children about the importance of renewable energy, this train is made from BioPlastic, which is plastic made from sugarcane.

The train set is created with non-toxic paints and glues, and can be extended with Hape’s extensive train set range. Hape makes products which help learning, and believes children play to learn. The set is suitable for ages 3+.
