PMI International set to host virtual toy show

Published on: 13th May 2020

Buyers and distributors will be offered a walkthrough of the company’s extensive portfolio, from the comfort of their own homes.

PMI – which has global distribution in 100 countries via the likes of Giochi Preziosi group, Sambro, Singleton, Simba Russia, Tomy and Grupo Ruz, and sells through Action, B&M, The Entertainer, Home Bargain, Tesco and Smyths Toys – is preparing for its first ever virtual toy show as the coronavirus continues to cause serious disruption to work and travel.

Running between Monday 18th and Friday 22nd May, the company will be using the global Zoom event to showcase its portfolio of licensed collectibles, stationery and pocket money lines, based on popular properties including Fortnite, Harry Potter, WWE, Paw Patrol, Pinkfong Baby Shark and Justice League. Professional camera-controllers will be on hand to give attendees a guided tour around the PMI showroom, an experience that promises no interruptions and one-on-one attention beyond what could usually be expected during a physical, face to face event. Buyers and distributors can ask questions, see the USPs of each range – of which there are many – and place orders without having to leave their home office.

“Distoy has been cancelled and Hong Kong in October looks unlikely, so we had to ask ourselves how we could maintain the best possible relationships with our clients,” explains Omer Dekel, VP international sales at PMI. “By saving money on flights, hotels and exhibition stands, we’re able to pass those savings onto our distributors, who will in turn pass savings onto the consumer. As an innovative and eco-friendly company we’re trying to make a difference, helping toy companies at a time when all of us could benefit from a little assistance.”

To book your meeting, email Omer on omer@pmi.co.il, stating your preferred date and time. Additional team members are invited to join the meeting.
