Manchester-based tabletop games developer, Steamforged Games, has partnered with John Adams Leisure, in an exclusive deal to distribute two new tabletop games to retailers. The partnership will bring Steamforged Games’ card games based on Namco’s classic arcade game, Pac-Man and Endemol’s hit television series Peaky Blinders to British and Irish online and brick-and-mortar stores.

Based on Bandai Namco Entertainment’s 1980s arcade game, Pac-Man: The Card Game is easy to learn and suitable for 1-4 players aged seven plus. Just like the retro classic, players can gobble up points while they dodge ghosts Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde. Steamforged Games acquired the Pac-Man licence from Bandai Namco, who previously licensed Dark Souls: The Board Game and Ni No Kuni II: The Board Game to the company. The game will hit UK stores on 13th November.

Peaky Blinders: The Card Game is a tabletop card game based on Endemol’s hit television series starring Cillian Murphy. Steamforged Games acquired the licence from Endemol, to produce a game for 3-6 players aged 14 plus, focusing on alliances, betrayal and revenge between the characters in the BAFTA winning show.  The latest series finale of Peaky Blinders attracted 3.84m UK viewers in the week it first screened.

Simon Spalding, executive chair at Steamforged Games, commented: “We are fortunate and proud to have licence partners like Bandai Namco and Endemol providing household name IPs like Pac-Man and Peaky Blinders. John Adams has a vast distribution network and is already working on some of the UK’s most loved games. We are confident that John Adams is the best choice to partner with on these two games.”
