Lego Carousel of Creativity invites families to unleash their imagination

Published on: 5th November 2021

Kids have the chance to see their festive builds shown at the art installation and online, with Lego also pledging to donate sets with its #BuildToGive star challenge.

The Lego Group is encouraging families to unleash their imagination in the run up to Christmas with the Lego Carousel of Creativity, an art installation in London’s Covent Garden.

It will feature five brick-built characters that celebrate the creative potential of children’s imaginations, along with one dedicated section screening play creations that have been submitted by children across the UK. Through the Lego Life app, kids can submit their festive builds now for the chance to be shown, with more information at lego.com/CarouselOfCreativity.

The art installation will be in London from 1st December 2021 until 2nd January 2022, bringing a Lego twist to a traditional Christmas icon, while those unable to attend in person will be able to join in the festive fun online at lego.com/CarouselOfCreativity during the same period. Here families from across the UK will also be able to take part in weekly themed challenges as well as enjoying a 3D virtual tour of the Lego Carousel of Creativity and all it has to offer.

In addition, to help make the holidays brighter for children in need of play, the Lego Group is encouraging everyone to grab their bricks and build a star – small, big, or wonderfully weird – to help pass on the joy of play as part of its Rebuild the World #BuildToGive initiative.

For every star which is built and shared on social media or Lego Life using the hashtag #BuildToGive before the end of December, the Lego Group will donate a Lego set to a child in need, giving children in hospitals, children’s homes, and vulnerable communities the chance to play this festive season.
