The  scheme will see the breakdown provider rescuing outgrown vehicles from children and distributing them via The Toy Project.

Outgrown Little Tikes Cozy Coupes are set to get a new lease of life with a heart-warming scheme from breakdown provider Green Flag, in which they will be ‘recovered’ and taken to children’s charity The Toy Project to pass on to disadvantaged children.

Little Green Flag, the purpose-led recovery and reward service for children, in partnership with Little Tikes, is being offered on a first come, first served limited basis, collecting used red and yellow vehicles across London. The iconic green recovery van will collect the vehicles as if they were real cars, and then take them to be gifted back to schools, nurseries and families in time for Christmas.

Noah Montenegro (pictured) aged eight, from South London was Little Green Flag’s first mini customer. Having enjoyed many miles in his Cozy Coupe growing up, the time had come for him to wave goodbye to his much loved first set of wheels.

He said: “It was so fun seeing my tiny toy car loaded up onto the big green van and it’s cool I get to make another little girl or boy happy this Christmas”.

Mark Newberry, commercial director at Green Flag, said: “Little Green Flag sees us doing what we do best – helping people and rescuing cars. Outgrown toy cars need recovering too and who better to do it than Green Flag. Together, with our partners, we hope to bring many smiles to those in need this Christmas.”
