In the 2021 Year in Review: Second Annual Thought Leader Panel Discussion, four toy industry’s top global media exponents share their insights on one of the most challenging years the toy industry has faced and look ahead to 2022.

In the latest episode of the Playground Podcast, Richard Gottlieb (Global Toy Experts) and Chris Byrne (The Toy Guy) were joined by John Baulch of Toy World and James Zahn of The Toy Book to talk about the major issues of 2021 and explore some of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in 2022.

With the four panellists involved, a lively 38 minute conversation covered a multitude of topics, including the inescapable supply chain issues; consumer buying trends during the pandemic; the spectre of inflation in the USA and UK and potential ramifications for the toy community; Toy Fair Season ’22 and the a debate about whether the timing of global toy shows should be re-evaluated and much more.
