Spielwarenmesse to open Model Railway Hall to the public next year

Published on: 26th July 2022

In 2023, Hall 7A of the Spielwarenmesse will welcome consumers over the weekend of the show for the first time in its history.

The Spielwarenmesse will be opening its doors to the trade at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre from 1st to 5th February 2023.

The organisers have taken the unprecedented decision to open part of the show to consumers next year. The whole Nuremberg Toy Fair will run as usual from 1st-5th February; however, consumers will be given special access to the Model Railways and Model Construction Hall 7A over the weekend of 4th-5th February.

According to the organisers, companies involved in initiating this offer include Noch, Gebr. Faller and Märklin from the field of model railways, and Tamiya Carson from model-construction.

Christian Ulrich, spokesperson of the Executive Board of Spielwarenmesse eG, commented: “The Model Railways and Model Construction product group is an important element of the Spielwarenmesse. We are delighted to be able to meet the long-held wishes of exhibitors from this sector of the market. This introduces a new dimension to the event – one that will continue to meet the needs and demands of this sector in the years to come. A shared activity area with new products represents an additional attraction for visitors to round off the proposition.”
