The company’s new AsmodeeLive division will be putting on an even bigger show this year showcasing a wide variety of the most anticipated products on the market.
Asmodee has announced details of its plans for a four-day live stream on Twitch from Spiel, the world’s board game convention, which will take place in Essen from October 24th-27th. After successful first ventures into streaming at the same event in 2017 and 2018, the company’s new AsmodeeLive division will be putting on an even bigger show this year showcasing a wide variety of the biggest and most anticipated products on the market, with over 33 hours of streams and 66 segments.
The stream will run from 9am to 6pm on Thursday through Saturday, and 9am to 5pm on Sunday. This year sees the return of a few familiar figures, including Asmodee’s own hosts David Oliver, Abigael Crowe and Philip Hatch, as well as new faces Antonia Tootill, Christopher Dukes and Mathilde Donnenfeld.
As well as showcasing established favourites like Catan, Pandemic and Dungeons and Dragons, the broadcast will feature new titles, including Black Angel (Pearl Games). Asmodee also looks to celebrate its newly announced Marvel games –Marvel Champions: The Card Game (Fantasy Flight Games) and Marvel Crisis Protocol (Atomic Mass Games), both of which were revealed earlier this year at Gen Con.
A highlight of the stream will be an exclusive announcement made by Catan Studio, Kosmos and Catan GmbH at 11am on Friday regarding a worldwide 25th anniversary celebration and the first reveal of plans in the works for a very exciting new project.
Asmodee Digital will also discuss its future line-up – with some exclusive announcements in store. The stream will also have guest appearances from influential designers – Matt Leacock, who will join the stream to demonstrate the latest title in Pandemic: Rapid Response. Eric Lang will accompany CMON to present its latest blockbuster releases.
Viewers will be pleased to learn that the interactivity has been put at the forefront of the stream –with more chances than ever for the audience to participate.
