The experienced executive has a toy career which spans 40 years.

Following a recent restructure of the US operation, Ed Gershowitz has left his role as general manager of Hornby America. With an extensive background in sales, marketing and management within the US toy market, Ed has knowledge, experience and contacts with major buyers and licensors in all categories.

Ed began his career with Mattel and subsequently held management positions with Hasbro, executive positions with Tyco and Hedstrom and was President of Carrera for almost 10 years.

Speaking to Toy World, Ed commented: “ I will of course honour the separation agreement with Hornby regarding categories. However, I honestly believe there are significant opportunities for UK companies wanting to expand their presence here in the US.”
