Founded by the entrepreneur Timo Armoo, joining Brainlabs means Fanbytes can now provide its services at a much greater scale.

The global Gen-Z agency Fanbytes, which has helped a number of major toy brands go viral on social media, has announced that it has been acquired by Brainlabs, one of the largest digital marketing agencies in Europe, US, and APAC.

Founded in 2012, Brainlabs has expanded to become a team of 800 people across the globe delivering work for brands including Formula 1, American Express and Mars.

In an official statement sent out yesterday (3rd May), Fanbytes founder Timo Armoo said: “Since starting this business with my two co-founders in university, we’ve been obsessed with becoming the best influencer marketing partner for brands wanting to reach a Gen Z audience: joining Brainlabs means we can advance that mission in two ways.

  1. Going Global – Joining Brainlabs means that we can now provide our services at a greater scale. With offices in the US, Canada, Brazil and Singapore, it’s the perfect partner to take our expertise global and grow a physical presence in these locations.
  2. Full funnel partner – As one of the best performance marketing agencies in the UK, we are especially excited to start introducing world-class performance marketing to all of our campaigns. We will now be able to combine the power of influencer marketing with the precision targeting of performance marketing.

Don’t worry, we’ll still be maintaining our focus on influencer marketing and providing more insights and value for marketers like yourself trying to understand this everchanging Gen Z landscape.

I wanted to take this moment to say a massive thank you to you. Over the last six years, you have played a part in helping us achieve the goal of becoming a superstar influencer partner for brands and we hope you’ll stick around to see what’s next.”
