Hamleys unveils Christmas windows

Published on: 7th November 2022

The Hamleys flagship store has unveiled its famous Regent Street Christmas windows, including ranges from Hasbro and Schleich.

Anticipated by customers and passers-by from all over the world, the Hamleys Christmas Windows for 2022 include Disney, Hasbro Gaming and Schleich. Expertly installed by the Hamleys team, and showcasing Disney’s long awaited Avatar sequel, Avatar: The Way of Water, one of the windows will be adorned with watery LED backgrounds and glow in the dark coral, depicting moments from the popular film franchise. Hamleys has also partnered with Schleich and Hasbro Gaming for two creative windows, featuring animals in a snow-scape with festive décor and magical additions such as a lit Christmas tree.

The unveiling of the windows included a performance on Friday 4th November, led by the cast of West End show, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe with Samantha Womack, musical supergroup SVN, and international star, Rosie McClelland. The event also featured the LED Ballerinas and Joe Palmer.

Sumeet Yadav, CEO, Hamleys, said: “This year we’re proud to partner with such iconic brands as Disney, Hasbro Gaming and Schleich for our Christmas Windows. We know how much families enjoy visiting our stores during the festive season, to really experience the magic of Christmas, and our windows will certainly add to that. The unveiling today officially declares our Christmas season open, and we can’t wait to welcome children and their families in-store to create magical memories with us.”

As the Christmas Windows open for the public to enjoy, so does the Christmas Shop on the 3rd floor at Hamleys Regent Street, with Christmas treats, gifts and of course, the Hamleys Top Ten Toys for Christmas available to purchase. Throughout November and December, Hamleys elves will be performing their magic in-store, with festive dance routines, merry interactions with visitors and posing for Elfie and Santa-selfies.

The Hamleys advent calendar goes live from 1st December, giving shoppers a chance to win a Lego prize every day. The Hamleys Grotto also opens on the 12th November.
