HKTDC International Sourcing Show to be staged from March to July 2021

Published on: 3rd February 2021

The International Sourcing Show will take place in both online and physical formats, integrating seven trade fairs originally scheduled for spring 2021.

Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the HKTDC International Sourcing Show will bring together buyers and suppliers from around the world to facilitate business and communication amid the pandemic. Organisers say the brand new exhibition will offer flexible ways for businesses to explore and identify opportunities across various product sectors.

First mooted late last year, the hybrid model Sourcing Show is set to eliminate geographical barriers. The digital experience to be kicked off in March has been designed to allow businesses to plan ahead and prepare for the resumption of trade activities, as they continue to assess the markets and navigate through the new normal. The digital exhibition will run from 17th March until 29th July online.

The online exhibition is a showcase of products, ideas and information, dubbed ‘Your Source of Inspirations’ – the central theme of the show. Through the integrated online experience, buyers and suppliers will be able to explore, share and connect in effective ways to ensure sustainable business growth.

On this one-stop platform, buyers can source the latest products from international suppliers in four key themes: Smart Home, Smart Play, Smart Style and Smart Tech.

The Smart Play theme will encompass kids’ products including dolls and figurines, vehicles, interactive and educational games, as well as baby care and nursery products and equipment.

Industry leaders and experts will share their views on thematic topics at the Intelligence Hub, where webinars will offer insights and information on the latest trends and opportunities that help businesses adapt to market changes.

The exhibition offers Click2Match, an online DIY business matching tool which uses AI technologies to match up potential business partners. The platform also helps participants schedule meetings, get together for video conferences, chat in real time and exchange e-business cards.

The physical HKCEC fair is scheduled to run from 26th until 29th July.
