Learning Resources and The Creation Station open Playfoam workshops

Published on: 20th July 2021

The #SummerofPlayfoam activity sessions will run across the UK as part of Learning Resources’ wider Summer of Play campaign.

Learning Resources will be encouraging kids to get creative with Playfoam this summer by teaming up with The Creation Station to offer activity sessions at clubs across the UK.

The workshops, which will run from 24th to 31st July, will involve hands-on play and activities using the multi-sensory reusable compound that never dries out. Playfoam can be squished and sculpted and allows children to express their creativity and develop key fine motor skills.

The Creation Station provides creative classes, clubs, parties and events for children and adults, and the #SummerofPlayfoam activity is part of Learning Resources’ wider Summer of Play campaign. Launched in June, the campaign inspires families and children to engage in hands-on traditional play activities this summer to promote children’s wellbeing.

“Hands-on creative play is vital for childhood development, and Learning Resources is thrilled to be working with The Creation Station to offer parents fun ways to entertain children these summer holidays. The tactile nature of Playfoam and the fact that kids can use the Playfoam they’ll receive at these sessions over and over again at home makes it perfect for creative play activities. Families won’t want to miss these sessions,” said Simon Tomlinson, Learning Resources head of marketing EMEA.

Sarah Cressall, CEO and founder of The Creation Station, said: “I’m delighted to have teamed up with Learning Resources to bring children and families these fun, educational and wellbeing hands-on Playfoam sessions.”

Families can sign up for the #SummerofPlayfoam at https://www.thecreationstation.co.uk/.
