Published on: 18th September 2019

The book will feature simple and healthy recipes as seen on the popular animated show.

Hoho Rights, the commercial arm of independent kids family and entertainment production company, Hoho Entertainment, has announced a partnership with Candy Jar Books to publish the first ever Shane the Chef cookbook.

Shane the Chef: Let’s Get Cooking! will contain 20 fun and healthy recipes for kids from Channel 5’s hit Milkshake! show. The book will be published on 6th November, and is available now to pre-order on Amazon. A mixture of quick and easy basics, tasty main meals and desserts, the as-seen-on-screen recipes demonstrate the animated celebrity chef’s passion for fresh, healthy food and cooking and were created under consultation with the British Dietetic Association. Presented in simple, easy to follow illustrated steps, they make cooking achievable and fun for youngsters and their parents and carers, while suggested ingredient swaps cater for fussy eaters.

Helen Howells, joint managing director at Hoho, said: “This book is the result of popular demand by our fan base and we’re delighted to be working with Candy Jar Books. Shane’s Let’s Get Cooking! is bright and colourful, and its delicious and healthy recipes are designed to encourage children to learn about food, make healthier choices and develop an interest in and a love of cooking.”

Shaun Russell, head of Publishing Candy Jar, said: “We’re excited to be working in partnership with Hoho dishing up our first-ever kids’ cookbook. The mixture of Shane’s enthusiasm about food and his simple yet tasty recipes serves up an irresistible family publication that we are sure will sell like hot cakes.”
