Published on: 27th July 2021

The Disney Accelerator is a programme designed to accelerate the growth of innovative companies from around the world.

Eight companies have been chosen to participate in the three-month mentorship programme, connecting them with the creativity, imagination and expertise of Disney, and providing unique access to Disney’s leadership team, and the team at Miko is delighted to be among them.

Rakesh Kakaya, chief sales officer at Miko, commented: “Miko is one of eight companies globally, and the only one in Asia, to be joining the Disney Accelerator programme. We are super excited to be a part of the 2021 cohort and look forward to working with Disney and identify new intersections of learning, entertainment and technology.”

Miko creates robots that are playful learning companions for children across 140+ countries and are utilized by parents, educators and technologists. The company has recently announced the appointment of Michael Beckett as director of licensing to further strengthen Miko’s leadership team and help the company’s stated mission to continue to build a global, deep-tech consumer company.
