New Hybrid range brings sound to Stax creations

Published on: 14th September 2018

Stax Hybrid construction play sets span an assortment of animals, vehicles, and accessories.

Each set contains Light, Sound, and Connector Stax along with regular bricks to enable children to build and bring their creations to life. Animal themes include light-up eyes and recordings of real animal sounds, while the vehicles boast front, rear and cabin lights plus emergency lights (for emergency vehicles) combined with motor sounds and sirens. Accessories include a light-up spinner and keyring, both fully customisable and at accessible price points to introduce consumers to the Hybrid range, or to further expand their collections.

Stax Europe CEO and Brandtraders owner, Arno Fluitman, commented: “As massive advocates of construction play, we wanted to bring a new dimension to building bricks. The aim was to create a brand that could be played with on its own, yet still offered compatibility with other major construction toy brands as a cost-effective solution for extended play value.”

Arno added: “We came up with the concept of Stax four years ago. We started out with Light Stax bricks which are available in several sizes and colour-ways. Each contains a powerful LED light which luminates whilst building and playing. This year, we wanted to push that innovation further and introduce the Sound Stax – a 2×4 speaker brick to produce specific sounds, whether that be a meowing cat or a police car siren. The Power Stax wireless system controls the sound and motion activation and brings each Stax Hybrid creation to life. And, as with all Stax bricks, the Hybrid range is compatible with all major toy brick brands to offer endless possibilities.”

The Stax range of brick playsets includes Stax Hybrid, Stax System, Stax Junior, and Stax Interior. Each range comprises its own power base brick with specific functions.
