Red Bull athlete and former BTCC Champion Andrew Jordan will be the Brand Ambassador for the next race season.

This year sees Jordan competing in the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship) at the wheel of a WSR BMW.

Scalextric will be releasing a slot car replica of Jordan’s BTCC BMW 125 in the coming months, with the partnership benefiting from an array of competitions, product reviews and special events throughout the year.

Scalextric researcher and marketeer Simon Owen commented: “We’re immensely proud to have such a huge British race star on board as a Brand Ambassador. BTCC is a popular racing series among both Scalextric and motor fans, and it’s great to have Andrew involved as our slot car range continues to grow in to the new season.”

Jordan added: “I am sure I speak for many when I say Scalextric was a huge part of my life growing up; the fact I am now racing in real life as I used to imagine when playing with Scalextric is very surreal. I am hugely proud to be working with the Scalextric team and to be bringing another household name onboard with me for my 2019 racing programmes. I am looking forward to the exciting year ahead together, and will be working hard to ensure the Scalextric name and brand grows even further through our new partnership.”
